Yes, it is strange how

In so much of a hurry, but all the time in the world to argue the toss.
Typical driver.

An angry cyclist left a pregnant young woman distressed after a confrontation over the Highway Code.

He was accused of breaching the code by cycling two abreast “in the middle” of a Cleethorpes road - although this is actually allowed.

The incident was caught on camera and shared more than 600 times on social media - and it's his behaviour that has annoyed viewers.

In the 20-second clip, the cyclist leans towards the car window before calling the pregnant woman a “f***ing stupid c***”.

It is understood the driver sounded their horn at the cyclists for “holding cars up”.

The cyclist reportedly “followed the car” into Cleethorpes Country Park and launched into a “very aggressive” attack.

The video, shared publicly on social media, was uploaded with an appeal to trace the cyclist.

It reads: “Does anyone know this man please?

“Was in the middle of the road, two people.

“Then when bibbed at because was holding cars up, he was throwing up hand signals.

“Deliberately cycled slower and was all over the road then followed the car and very violent and aggressive.”

It has been claimed the cyclist scratched and dented the car along its side and on its boot after the recording ended.

It continues: “After the video, he proceeded to attack the vehicle and has left multiple scratches and dents along the boot and side.

“My friend is pregnant and very distressed now because of this man.”

According to the Highway Code, cyclists can ride in the centre of the lane, otherwise known as in ‘primary position’. This can deter unsafe passes, particularly on slower urban roads.

Section 66 states cyclists should not ride more than two abreast. However this is an advisory rule and there is no law in place preventing them from doing so.

Despite this, social media users say there was “no need to speak to her like that”.

One user said: “While the guy’s behaviour is completely disgusting, he is correct.

“We are allowed in the middle of the roads and are allowed to cycle two wide.

“You have to treat cyclists just like you would a motorbike or another car.”

Another user said: “There is no need for him to be so arrogant about it. It gives cyclists a bad reputation.”

Others have compared him to Ronnie Pickering who went viral after arguing with a moped rider in which he infamously shouted: “Do you know who I am?”, replying "Ronnie Pickering" to the bewildered rider, who responded with "Who?".

When summing up the incident, one user said: “Regardless of who is right and who is wrong, there is no need for such aggression and disgusting language.

“As for damaging the car, how can that be justified?”

It is time Police clamped down on illegal use of the horn. It is to warn other road users of your presence and only that. Being pregnant is no excuse.

THE road-rage cyclist who screamed at a pregnant driver after she
accused him of riding in the middle of the road has said: “I’m not the
bad guy.”

Builder Dave Parker, 55, [the cyclist] claimed the roadside row had been
"twisted" and despite his aggressive language, he was not to blame.ENDQUOTE

"Not to blame" for screaming vile abuse at a vulnerable pregnant woman
alone in her car?

So who *was* responsible for it?

QUOTE:
The dad said: "I don't want to talk about it. I am getting too much
stick - it is unbelievable."
ENDQUOTE

So he can dish it out but can't take it.

Footage of the argument was shared by hundreds of people on social
media, with many shocked by the cyclist's behaviour.
ENDQUOTE

I should think they *would be* shocked by his behaviour.

And by his trying to claim that he was somehow not to blame for what he did.

Was he doing the cycling equivalent of sleepwalking?
