Cyclist fighting for life after hit-and-run in Newham, east London

A cyclist is fighting for life after being knocked down in a hit-and-run crash in east London. Police were called to reports of a car colliding with a cyclist at the junction of Romford Road and Crosby Road in Newham at about 3.20am on Friday morning. Officers found a man, in his thirties, severely injured. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. The driver of the car, a grey Audi, did not stop at the scene. Officers are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward in their bid to trace the driver.
