It was you who sought to draw a comparison between the risks attached to
the fumbling for cigarettes (or whatever) and matches, lighter or
car-borne cigar-lighter and (as it now seems) the effects of having
drunk coffee earlier.

If you didn't mean to suggest that some people were brewing up coffee on
the move (the only correct comparison for the use of tobacco and other
substances whilst on the move), you must have been trying to suggest
that caffeine has an effect similar to alcohol or other intoxicating
substances.

Neither of those puts you in a good light, though.

I am happy to state that I took your question "How about caffeine?"
(made in response to my assertion that smoking in vehicles should be
banned) as meaning that you "think" that caffeine, whether brewed and
consumed or consumed whilst driving or being driven, or consumed prior
to driving or being driven, or in any other way, is comparable in
toxicity to the poisions produced by the burning of tobacco and "other
substances".

If you didn't mean that (and it does seem that you are now trying to
claim that it didn't), then your question was about as clumsy and
pointless a one as you have ever posted. And it was up against some
stiff competition.
