I really, really admire Cadel...but as a triathlete I had to vote for
Macca ;-)

As a triathlete, you aren't a cyclist.

That's a nice bit of exclusionism, right there! ;-)

I realise you're probably being tongue-in-cheek, but what's with all
this "my chosen form of cycling is The One True Cycling" business?
Seems a bit counter-productive.

To be fair, I'm baffled at why kids on BMX bikes don't use a longish
seatpost with a quick-release clamp. That way you could have a
comfortable ride to the skate park, and drop the seat back down for
your tricksta pleasure. Around here they ride 5km to the BMX park
with their knees up around their ears, and the front of the saddle
cocked[1] up at 45 degrees...

Welcome to the silliness of cycling.

Nt only aren't triathletes and recumbenteers not cyclists, neither are
people who don't wear lycra, who don't know or care which bloody
gruppo they have, or who are riding a bicycle cos they lost their car
licence.

IT isn't clear if people who ride bikes that cost less than $1k are,
or if a carbon fork can make up for not having Ultegra.
