Good to see Britain in the lead, we have screwed the Frogs in all
types of conflict why not cycling as well.

I find watching competitive cycling about as boring as watching paint dry.


For me, that applies to *all* racing, no matter what the format (on foot, on
a bike, in a boat, in a car, on a horse or in a pony and trap affair). Or
racing by dogs or pigeons.
I absolutely don't care who "wins" and don't really see why anyone would care.

Was that the one cited here a year or so back where someone crashed into a
barbed wire fence?

I accept that crashes during racing can be (sort of) "interesting" (in
different ways) for various reasons, but that is because of the spectacle of
the collision, not because of the racing element.

Watch the Olympic BMX in that case. According to No:1 daughter it's
lethal. They are stationing an ambulance right next to it.
