helicopter interrupts daily commute

My wife usually commutes into QUT but she had to take the car this
morning. What time did it happen?

it happened at 8:40. for some reason i looked at my watch and noted the
time when it happened. after the helicopter crashed, there was an eerie
minute (seemed like that) when nothing seemed to happen. i ran up to
the gate protecting the pad. i looked around for someone else, but
there didn't seem to be anyone around.
