These are intended for drop handlebars, come in a set of 4. I like these for mtb bars 'cause I like to mount the brake levers well inboard and have lots of grip space to put my hands in close for the road, wide apart for off road. See: http://harriscyclery.net/site/itemdetails.cfm?ID=424 Sheldon "Grab-Ons" Brown Yup, didn't know the name of 'em, but bought some a long time ago for my mtb. The *short* ones (sort of tapered w/bulges) are TOO padded, IMO, and tend to slip if they get wet. Avoid those and opt for the "straight gauge" kind that the Master has suggested. (Even those are too thick for many people; buy 'n try!) Bill "get a grip" S. -- rec.bicycles.off-road is moderated by volunteers.
