Thanks to everyone who helped to create the group, but particularly to
my ten co-moderators, to the votetaker (who is now recovering from a
serious reaction to Tamiflu), and of course to the readers and voters.

Everything seems to be working correctly. I have just approved the
first three articles and they are propagating normally. Propagation
may be patchy in some remote corners but most servers which carry uk.*
are running on full autopilot and will have the newsgroup by now.

So we are in business.

I think we should encourage a couple of individuals to compete for the
coveted "most rejected posts" award. This will be something where
they can indulge their desire to "win" without falling foul of the
tiresome necessity to actually be right some of the time.
