Better pads ?
Does someone sell some better quality brake shoes?
Something that doesn't start squealing after a hundred miles would be nice. |

It looks like the canti bosses are not mounted too symmetrically, making alignment tricky. But they stop the bike (when I *need* to stop, that is) - and I don't need a bell :-) |

If you cleaned the rims on your bike, say every 85 miles, the brake blocks would never start squealing. This tip comes with a big invoice and a secret handshake. I don't know if that is a design feature or just part of the manufacturing process. Andy |

As long as it's manufactured there and not worn into the rim, it's probably fine. For the brakes, I'd go with the Kool Stops as well. |

I have the VO's with salmon inserts on one bike and the "cross pads" on the other and they both work great. nate |

That's what I thought at first but they are usually painted black. This one is the same burnished aluminum as the rest of the rim. You're probably right though. |
