Default DIY wooden bike fenders

Trouble is: as portrayed, these fenders are flat.

Angle of incidence == angle of reflection.

Fenders with ogee curves to them nicely gutter
rainwater downward. I suspect flat fenders would
tend to bounce water into all kinds of crazy directions,
some of which might blow back onto the rider's legs, in
which case, why have fenders at all?

But as with any recipe, imaginative modifications are
possible.

Personally, I do like the idea of mixed-media bikes.
Like the Calfee bamboo bike.

cheers,
Tom
