what was the point of giving a freestyle unicycle a splined hub?

Isis is becoming the standard in the unicycle world. Qu-ax freestyle
unicycles also have Isis hubs. The freestyle unicycle uses "light" hub
and cranks and is not meant to be used for drops (it could probably
hold up to drops).

Check the vids with whatever uni you're interested in. See how they
hold up.

"I have seen videos of people going big... It doesn't break the
unicycle..." This is the sort of BS in this thread.

I have abused many different unicycles, and found it hard to break many
of them... However it is clear that I can take ANY unicycle you throw
at me, and soon enough IT WILL BREAK.

So please don't ruin these threads by making claims about x vs y
because they will always turn into flame contests. OFF TOPIC.
Mods need to split this thread (back to its original post) and people
need to learn how to post in forums.

Back on topic: Koxx is bringing new products, this is a good thing for
all unicyclists as it furthers development of all brands.

People break everything, 4ft+ drops will do that (even with awesome
technique) even if it takes a while. However, one will find that the
thing that everyone breaks is a TORKER frame. Look what you have done,
now I have gone off topic also GRR.

What will you break? A seat stiffener? A seatpost? There is a huge
difference between breaking something small and easy to fix like a
seatpost, and breaking/bending hub and cranks, etc.

It can almost be expected to break a stock seat or seatpost, or pedals.
It is unfair to talk of a unicycles strength by those factors alone.

Ok, i thought i should get in on this, not really sure where to start, i
like koxx 1, based on looks really, i dislike them because i think they
get alot of respect for products that are taken straight from koxx, I
love them for yoggi because hes quality. I think brand bashing at all
is bad, if you think there a companies products aren't upto much fine
but don't critisise too much until you've thought about how much work
goes into manufacturing any part.
And the hole thing about copying, or critisising any company for
copying i think is a bit badly thought out, because if your going to
say that then i suppose every splined unicycle copied onza who i think
were the first to come up with it, and how much variety can there be in
some parts.
The joke about me and rocco was sort of private because were good
friends with amanda, i think then coming on and then saying forrest is
the only! cool thing is a bit like you wana start some conflict which
is a bit sad!
The hole thing about Qu Ax being as strong as a torker dustin has
cleared up well.
The bragging about what riders ride for who is sort of fair enough
because I know personally i am no where near the riding calibre of
Yoggi or Xav. But Qu Ax's aim is to encourage young unicyclists with
potential to keep them into it, much like KH and Syko do with riders
but with older aswell, Hopefully it will encourage us youngens to keep
it up and maybe reach that standard soon, but also speaking from my
personal view, i know i do alot more for unicycling on the whole than
most(feel free to disagree) but i do demos in front of big crowds with
the 3rd best trials biker in europe Andrei Burton. I spend my whole
summer touring from festival to festival including surf festivals and
extreme sport festivals getting what ever riding i can do done, often
demos in front of massive crowds. So remember its not just about
ability. I think promoting your own company is great after all its part
of sponsorship, but brand bashing there is no need for!
Cody i liked your part in ill, and un like others i don't think your
too cocky but i think you've been pretty rude in this thread. So chill
out
L8az boys n girls

Ah I dindnt try to come off that way, but I have been expresing
opinions, and thanks bout the Ill statement, allthought I kinda liked
yours seg better:-D
Ok about opinions...In my mind the reason I went to koxx for a
sponsorship was because I like there unis the most, simple...The 2 best
brans are K1 and KH. Light and strong, But they do also cost more.
Torker and Qu-ax to me have allways seemed to be on the same page. I
have never really ridin a Qu-ax, only herd poor reviews from friends.
Torker I like becuase of price, and it is quite strong, but still not
as strong as koxx, or perhaps the new Kh unis. Downside to qu-ax is
weight and crank design (the blood nubs) and its still using the old
style (big saddle). Torker, same downsides and same upside, price and
strength. Kh downside, seat posts are hte main one, plus side VERY
light! k1 downside, rims, as my friend annoyingly tells me everyday,
they use a softer metal for there rims, but ive had good luck with them
once being tightened. There seat posts are also aluminum but they have
produced 2 different styles of reinforced seat posts to help fix this.
Kh and K1 are top class. qu-ax and torker are second..sry. But they
cost less and will holp up to pro level, they jsut arent as high
quality. But this is all a matter of opinion from me and is very open
to arguements ;-)

It is one thing if you break a frame from riding it hard but yours just
rusted and corroded from the inside until it cracked then you almost
took out a little girl at the skatepark by throwing it trying to break
the rest of the way

Yes, seatposts, seats, handles, spokes, rims, cranks, hubs, clamps,
pedals, innertubes, frames, ankles, feet, legs... We can break them
all. And that was the point I was trying to put accross - we can break
everything, does not mean that it is weak or strong.

maybe they will for the 2007 trial one. i have it and i is alot better,
cranks i agree with the nub thing, need to get rid of them but don't
forget kh has only just and k1 apparently have nubs on there street

i don't think K1 have any nubs... i don't think they ever did. if you
login to their website and look at the pics you can see .... no nubs.
cheers
bry
P.S isn't a little mean that after yoggi anouced a whole bunch of
changes to the koxx line that this thread turns into a koxx bash
thread. if everyone keeps doing stuff like this i doubt any
manufactorers are going to post on unicyclist.com
