Did 40 miles today. Glorious weather. Sunny, hot dry - but a headwind most
of the way. This evening my legs have decided to complain. Don't know why,
as I've done a lot more than 40 miles in a day and been fine! They had
better behave themselves tomorrow, as I'm due out again for at least another
40 miles.

Mebbe you're 'out of salts' and need some carrot/tomato juice or V8 with
loads of water, mebbe there's a lurgy lurking.

Get better soon, anyway.

Simple, just find someone with the same blood type as yourself and help
yourself to a top-up.

OK, that was in slightly bad taste. It could be the heat because it was
actually very hot out there in spite of the wind.

Scoffing a load of protein immediately after a strenuous ride is meant to
help with recovery. A cold/cool bath with also help.

Bananas.
(A good source of potassium).

I find sometimes when I am 'out of salts' I get a weird
feeling in my throat.

You need some of Dr. Ferrari's Astana Beans, coming shortly to a bike shop
near you :-)
