Default Shimano Ultegra 6500 & Dura-Ace Triple Compatibility

Hi Guys:

Will a Shimano 7703 Triple crankset work with Shimano 6603 shifters? I
currently have my bike setup with an ultegra triple but I have replaced
the middle chainring with a 39t instead of the 42t. The shifting is
clean, however I have to trim when in the middle chainring, otherwise
the chain rubs on the inner plate of the of the front derailleur cage.

Will using the 7703 aleviate this problem?

Thanks,
Claude
