Default Man charged with attempted GBH following crash with cyclist, 12

A 41-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with attempted grievous bodily harm following a crash involving a van and 12-year-old cyclist in Knutsford.

Clinton Macrae, of Springwood Avenue, has been charged with attempted Section 18 assault – wounding with intent – as well as dangerous driving.

It follows a crash at around 8.30pm last Thursday, May 21, in Mobberley Road.

The cyclist was taken to hospital via ambulance and has since been discharged having sustained minor injuries.

Macrae appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Saturday, May 23, and was remanded in custody.

He is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Friday, June 19.

Police have confirmed new charges today, May 28, following their original statement on Tuesday.
