The only official one is hand raised to shoulder with open palm forwards, but that's to tell the policeman who's directing traffic where you want to go. Lack of any other signal /should/ indicate that they're going straight ahead, but proper use of clear signals in adequate advance of a manoeuvre seems to be beyond the ability of many drivers. |

It is the same signal that cyclists make when they are going to make a turn or change lane: none at all. |

It is shown by curling the fingers of the hand into a loose fist and moving the hand back and forth to mime male masturbation. -- Dave - Cyclists VORP "It is time for us to say to cyclists 'You want to join our gang, get trained and pay up'. I can't remember the last time I saw a parking warden actually walking down the street checking double yellows and parking bays, they all seem to zoom around on little mopeds from car park to car park, listing reg numbers and times. |

Try the City of Brighton And Hove, where outright war has been declared on all visitors to the area (and even residents) who have the temerity not to have travelled by public transport, where parking costs £6 for two hours and where enforcement is rigid. I have the misfortune to be there on business a dozen or so times a year. |
