Default Unlit cyclist attacks motorist with bicycle

Police said Cuff had been cycling in Swavesey in dark clothing and with
no lights fitted to his bike. Cuff and the car's driver entered into an
argument over Cuff having no lights on his cycle which led to the
attack, officers said.

As the dispute became more heated police said Cuff picked up his cycle
and used it to push the victim against the side of Swavesey church where
he continued to "repeatedly ram the bike into the victim causing a
number of injuries to the victim's head, hand and torso".

Give it an hour or two and one of the usual suspects will be asserting
that this was an entirely reasonable thing for the cyclist to do.

I know. The cyclist was keeping himself safer by being unlit and in
dark clothes, hi-viz and lighting would make him a target. The motorist
had no right to point out the obvious difficulty of spotting the cyclist
in the dark.

Actually I should have used the correct vernacular: pedestrian
allegedly defends himself using a bicycle weapon, against a vicious
verbal assault by another pedestrian . (how is Doug?)

The cyclist was minding his own business, if he was breaking the law
it is up to the police to deal with it.

The motorist had no right to point out the obvious difficulty of spotting the cyclist
in the dark.

Behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace.

I guess we'll have the idiot Lee next, claiming that the cyclist was making
a lawful citizen's arrest.

Or just acting in self defence.

The motorist initiated an unnecessary confrontation because he was having
a bad day and thought the primary road user was a soft target to take
his frustration out on.

The trouble is that you probably actually believe that load of old tosh.
Sad, really.
