What could be more fun than cycling over slippery cobbles with a two
inch layer of muddy water flowing over them in the freezing rain? The
smart money is on a Belgie to win.

And it means someone can swim out in front of the cyclists tol protest
elitism in cycling.

Or a hollander.

If you don't want to back a favourite how about Garmin's Sep Vanmarcke.
I'm surprised the rbr Amerikans have not been posting about Phinney II's
chances (BMC must be one of the stronger and more experienced teams
there with Ballan, Hushovd, Hincapie and Quinziato there).

Taking exception to the "American with a k" remark (how about being at
least a little bit selective there?), in spite of his two espoir
victories, this first year, it's no good to pile on the pressure.

Next year!

Fortunately it looks like Santorum might be beaten so we can go back to
spelling it with a 'c'.

Is anyone apart from Boonen ever gonna win a bicycle race again?

Sometimes Terpstra or Chavanel wins.

But Boonen's a champ. And he's got time to score a fifth win.
It seems like he's been around forever but his first came at
a pretty young age.

That boat race disturbing guy's been arrested, wouldn't surprise me if
he goes down for 10 to 20. Quite right too for disturbing the fun of our
glorious hereditary elite. Where does he think he lives, a ****ing
democracy or something?

I think Belgian chemists must have found a way to combine EPO and coke
to make them undetectable, Boonen's current run is amazing. Of course it
helps that Cancellara converted his collar bone to a jigsaw puzzle and
is sitting on the bench now (for some time it seems).

Its probably safe to say he won't be winning LBL*. Who will though is an
open question since Gilbert doesn't seem to have anything near the same
form he had last year.

* Unless he loses (looses ?) a testicle and several kgs.

Public disorder when in the middle of a river ? Presumably the fish
count as members of the public.
