If you don't want to back a favourite how about Garmin's Sep Vanmarcke. I'm surprised the rbr Amerikans have not been posting about Phinney II's chances (BMC must be one of the stronger and more experienced teams there with Ballan, Hushovd, Hincapie and Quinziato there). |

Taking exception to the "American with a k" remark (how about being at least a little bit selective there?), in spite of his two espoir victories, this first year, it's no good to pile on the pressure. Next year! --D-y |

Taking exception to the "American with a k" remark Fortunately it looks like Santorum might be beaten so we can go back to spelling it with a 'c'. Is anyone apart from Boonen ever gonna win a bicycle race again? |

Quite right too for disturbing the fun of our glorious hereditary elite. Where does he think he lives, a ****ing democracy or something? |

I think Belgian chemists must have found a way to combine EPO and coke to make them undetectable, Boonen's current run is amazing. Of course it helps that Cancellara converted his collar bone to a jigsaw puzzle and is sitting on the bench now (for some time it seems). |
