Campy Clinchers
I bought a set of Campy Neuron clincher wheels. They were light and they hgave aero spokes.
But they have been a problem almost from the start. They first got a good rim bend from hitting a pothole that was one of the street utility valves that had lost it's cover. The bend was suspiciously easy to straighten out using a crescent wrench. Then the rear wheel (the damaged one) began breaking spokes pretty regularly. I used up the local suppliers spoke kits and now have to toss the rear wheel. So Campy makes some CX wheels, Scirrocos, that look pretty much like the Neurons but must be stronger for cyclocross. Has anyone had any experience with them? |
