Default TODAYS RIDE

SpaceX, The Return Voyage, is exciting, absorbing, captivating from last week to next year.

Outstanding crowd: intelligent, educated, civil, international.....several people from California.

Ivy League football at the library.

Easy parking, access to food and entertainment, fresh air, ambience and forget candles, we held light filled rectangles. Weather was damp n less than warm. No insects. PERFECT

Direct information was peak. The scene was directly before us. On eavesdropped channels, MiFi internet, with WKMG 20 feet away manned by 7 people, all identical. We had arrived.

Landing ignition clearly seen 14 miles distant from the pad on a water horizon...tension builds.

Weather threatened then cleared. SpaceX rose thru a light vapor exhaust glowing bright in a wide luminescent oval outlined in red.
BRIGHT ....exceptional ascent.

The second stage was visible for a long time as white dot, the first stage lighting up in red clearly coming back to us. Minutes passed without visibility, first stage passing thru the light vapor setting us up for ..

The second sighting red flare turning yellow white SpaceX approaching the pad
We were falling with SpaceX falling falling sideways and down sideways and down toward the pad across the bay...

The tube adjusted to vertical moving diagonally to the pad then down straight straight JUST LIKE BUCK RODGERS WOW INCREDIBLE

THE TUBE SLOWED TO A STOP IT WAS LANDING WOW

AND WE HELD OUR BREATH....SILENCE

THE DISTANT GLOW DIMMED WE WAITED

1-2-3 NO ORANGE BLAST NO EXPLOSION

WE CHEERED EEYEYYYEHAHHAHA THIS IS REAL SPACEX LANDED

THEN BOOOM A MACH SHOCKWAVE.

They did it. Amazing.

AMAZING. We went next door to the Bell Labs man's cellar. He had a Sputnick receiver....bip bip bip

Now I'm standing at the Banana River holding a TV screen in my hand watching an image of a brilliantly lit tube floating at 17000 mph in blackness throwing off golden foiled satellite objects instantly falling behind the tube racing on at 17000 mph.

That's a lotta BIP
