Default Nice tracks in Santa Clara area (CA)

All

I'm planning to arrive to Santa Clara (CA) for a ~ week (first time),
my friend also will arrive to CA and we would like to bike in the area
( from Santa Clara to Santa Cruz ???)
Do you know on any web site / books / recommendation on a nice track
(we do not want to go to SF not the 17 miles)

There are several very nice routes to Santa Cruz. Your best resource
is the Krebs Cycling map of the area:

If you tell me about how long you want the ride to be, I can give
you a suggested route. I hope you like hills, because that's what we
have.

if you are interested in velodrome riding - track racing/training -
check out www.ridethetrack.com

every sat 8:30 - 11:30am they have training sessions - you can rent a
track bike at the track for $5, and the track 'usage/training' fees - $5
- more details @ the website above.
