3. This is apparently a development of the manual system with electronic assistance in the Dura-Ace Di2 gruppo.

I think you'll find the term is "group-san"

No, no. "San" is an honorific used primarily between equal persons.
The proper term for a major company would be kisha or onsha,
meaning noble or honorable company :-)

Eh? A group is uniquely a combination of things or people. San is an appellation that is distinctly individual. The guys who made that list should try again.

Anyhow, it is a demonstration of the political naivety of the Mushy Monkey aka Gullible Moron wing of the cyclists to want to bring back cycling nationalism in the age of the global village, even when, rarely, they manage not to mangle the language(s).

Now I return to explaining to my family that I have street cred: I know who Madonna is.

Nope, you can't screw it in. There is no thread. It is a mini-DIN plug and socket. Now you're none the wiser.

we need photos of these happy friends for the Wyoming HS crowd.

Why?

is this device slated for computer programming ?

If you have the correct programmer for its EPROM, and can identify it, and know the parameters it addresses, and the programming language, sure. But only an unemployed idiot would spend the time, because the programming works fine the way it is.

spec map routing?

Are you thick, or are you trying to be funny?

does the device work with a 5 speed or only 11 ?

I see: Thick. We're talking about a device (the first or second series Di2 of c1995 to c2005) that worked uniquely and solely on Shimano 3-speed and 8-speed Nexus hub gearboxes with special fittings and special hub dynamos as well, and special suspension units. If you had read and understood the data at my URL, you would grasp this.

The Judas System.

Sorry, no. Bushido and Calvinism for the Japanese and European ends. Both parties thought the system was too complicated for Americans to understand, like Citroen cars from the glory years.

is there a free t shirt ?

There was. But by the time they started handing it out, I'd moved on to the next cutting edge of cycling, so I'm afraid I cannot show it to you, even if I ever wore clothing with advertising on it.

Let me give you a tip, fellow. You sound just like a congenital idiot called Gene Daniels who used to come here, and who thought he was funny, and was cruelly encouraged in his delusion by a few of the bored locals. Some have it, some don't. You don't.

HTH.
