Default Flandis - Going Down for the Third Time

Jeeperz, now it's a conspiracy that robbed poor Flandis of his Tour
win -- he's really clutching at straws now

The ****** had better keep his big yap shut and let the Spin Doctors
and Lawyers do the talking in future, not that that will do any good

Either way, it' a Chop Square in Saudi on a Friday morning after
prayers for that laddie

Heard him protesting his innocence to John Humphrys on the Today
programme yesterday morning and it was, well, quite pathetic really.

Humphrys - a no-holds-barred, old-style BBC combative interviewer for
those who don't know - must have decided the guy was one spoke short of
a wheel because he hardly tested him at all. I had the feeling he was
talking to Landis because somebody said he had to and that he couldn't
be bothered to rip him apart.

Given the feebleness of Floys' arguments I guess he didn;t need to and
ole Floyd grabbed the shovel and started digging a hole from the
start...

Cheers

You don't have to be Muslim to have it applied to you. The extremist
nutcases want to apply it to all of us. Floyd would probably be pretty
far down on the list. I think #1 on the current hit parade are gays.

Qom, Iran--Lesbians and gay men "should be killed in the worst, most
severe way of killing" according to a March 15 fatwa, or legal
pronouncement, issued by Grand Ayatollah Ali al Sistani.

Sistani, who is headquartered in Iran, is the official "supreme
religious authority" of the Shi'a sect of Muslims there, and
throughout neighboring Iraq.

The U.S.-backed Iraqi government is dominated by Sistani followers, who
consult regularly with him on political, moral and social issues.

Yeah, but is there a fatwah against dopers? Let's stay on topic please.
Hey that would clean up the Peloton. Forget this suspension stuff. You
dope you "should be killed in the worst, most severe way of killing."

OTOH, if Floyd truly didn't knowingly dope, then how should he respond?
One would flub around and try to find a reason for the results, and
come off sounding desperate ... as well one should in that position.

Wel, I dunno... I'd like to believe he's innocent just as we'd all
like to believe every athlete found guilty of taking drugs is innocent.
The trouble in cycling is finding somebody who isn't.

I remember how Pantani, Miller et al protested their innocence. Either
the drug tests are going badly wrong or drug taking is so endemic that
everyone just pretends it doesn't happen and can't face the truth.

I hear that Pound has hired a medium to put him in touch with
Torquemada for ideas on enforcing discipline and getting more
confessions.
