An email I recieved:

Thanks to the inestimable Carrie Z, the bike fed is going to be
interviewed
about Bike Month, this Sunday, May 1 at 9:50 a.m. We'll be live from
valet bike parking at the earth day festival on KMOX radio.

Also, thanks to Amanda Doyle, Jason McClelland and I will be on her
show on
KDHX Monday night at 7:30. Yappin more about bike month, and bikes.

KMOX is the only station on 1120 AM (not FM) and the broadcast from St.
Louis MO can be received as far as the Appalachains, Gulf of Mexico,
Rockies, and International Falls (or almost that far)

Yep, as a kid in NYC, I used to hear KMOX on a small transistor radio. But
that only happens at night when the "D" Layer of the ionosphere is gone. If
this broadcast is at 9:50 a.m., the listening range will be 100 miles at
best.

KMOX is one of those 50,000 watt "flame throwers". They can be received
in portions of about 45 states and part of Canada. They can be received
best at night or in the very early morning. If you want to hear the
interview and can't receive their signal, you can go to their web site
and listen on line.
