We were about to embark at Dover, when
(Charles Ellson) came up to me and whispered:

An urban myth perpetuated by people who wish to endanger
pedestrians by riding on pedestrian-only rights of way (e.g. the
part of a highway set aside for their use).


Not the case - it is established law in Scotland, which, last time I
checked was (currently) part of the uk
