Default Man charged after cyclist ‘seriously injured’ in Mid Sussex

Sussex Police said they were called to Paddockhurst Road, Turners Hill, at 4.50pm on Tuesday (April 13), following an alleged assault involving a car driver and a cyclist.

“David Francis, 28, a mechanic, of West Hoathly Road, East Grinstead, was arrested and later charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and driving a motor vehicle dangerously,” said a police spokesman.

“He has been remanded in custody to appear before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (April 15).”

The cyclist, a man in his 40s, had ‘significant head injuries’ and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, police said, adding that he remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Police are urging any witnesses to come forward.

People can report information online at www.sussex.police.uk or by calling 101.

Then you must hate yourself for driving a car. You're taking up space on the road which could be used for cyclists.

Is it another Alfa? My neighbour's son has one. An 11 reg, looks brand new, mind you he probably polishes it every day. He was dismissing BMWs as "commoners" cars. They're certainly better looking than BMWs, BMW need to do something about that ugly front end.

Peeler, known also as Slime Eel or Slime Hag, produces copious mucus
from many pairs of slime glands.

A sensible choice, surprised you didn't go electric though. Also surprised you took a backwards step aesthetically.
