I am sure that we will soon see this study show up on those bogus
anti-helmet web sites with proclamations that the reason for the decline
is helmet laws, even though there has never been a decline in ridership
following the imposition of an MHL...

Scharf's combination of obsession, ignorance and falsehood is really
remarkable!

I retuned from the West this morning, this after visiting our new local Walmart filled with retirees and richly disabled from OHIO

I may buy a video camera...

Of course they don't talk about the reasons for the decrease in China.
Anyone that has been going to China during the last 30 years or so,
has seen the construction of massive subway systems in all the major
cities. Everyone did not rush out and buy a car to go to work, they
now can take mass transit. This is not possible in most of the U.S.
where there is little investment in mass transit.

We've been put on notice hereabouts that mass transit = socialism. So
apparently are health insurance, public education, immunizations, any
form of taxation, not owning a dozen guns, not being a Christian, being
respectful of others or helping other people in any way. I appreciate
my reeducation by the Taxpayer's League. There is no such thing as the
public good and private wealth is all that matters.

LOL. Yeah, if those commies in Red China built mass transit, it must be
a communist plot. Nevermind that they are now more capitalistic than us.
Oh wait, in Taiwan, AKA "Free China" they also have built mass transit
and high-speed rail.

I guess that you're voting for one of the Republican clowns!

Silicon Valley is in the midst of another boom and traffic is reaching
Los Angeles proportions. No mass transit that is useable to go from
housing centers to industrial centers, in a timely manner is being
built. I should take a video of the VTA light rail train moving through
downtown San Jose at 3 MPH, it is truly amazing and sad.

Now the VTA wants to paint "BRT" on the side of buses and proclaim that
they have provided "Bus Rapid Transit." Residents are finally fighting
this insanity and it has jeopardized a sales tax increase being
advocated by the VTA.
