What ever happened to that lawsuit filed by the Russian and Aussie
federation against the IOC to take away Tyler's gold medal?

How many hundreds of thousands of Euros were WASTED on lawyers's fees by
those two federations that could have been better spent on grassroots
programs?

Viatcheslav Ekimov & Russian Olympic Committee v/IOC : this procedure,
initiated by the Russian Olympic Committee and Ekimov further to the
decision of the IOC not to amend the rankings of the time trial in
cycling at the Olympic Games (won by Tyler Hamilton), is now in its
preliminary phase (evidentiary proceedings). No hearing has been
scheduled yet.

No mention of the Aussie suit, unless it's being run in conjunction
with the Russian one.

Probably they are waiting for the Vuelta decision. The precedent
would be Muehlegg and Lazutina, who both lost Olympic medals for
events where they passed the dope tests because they failed a later
test. The Olympics allow athletes to be stripped of all medals in
the case of a failed test. Since Tyler failed a test in a non-Olympic
event, that would be extending the precedent.

What case is there? Tyler didn't test positive in the Olympics. You
can't change the rules just because you don't like them. The rules say
if the B sample is lost or untestable, the A test cannot be validated
and is therefore considered negative.

Even if Tyler is found guilty this week, he will still get to keep his
gold medal.

anything? The Vuelta occurred after Athens and is therefore irrelevant.

The Becky Scott precedent which you refer to has nothing to do with this
case because in that case the athletes stripped of their medals tested
positive BEFORE the Olympics, not after (and one was during the
Olympics, but in a different event). There is NO precedent - and will
never be a precedent - for being stripped of a medal for testing
positive in an event AFTER the Games because that would be irrelevant
(look up the definition of time as defined by Einstein).

Your legal analysis is so reckless and incorrect that I'm going to have
to request you never post about this topic again.

In Scott v. IOC, there the rules were on the side of Scott. In the
Hamilton case, the rules are on the side of Hamilton.

Tyler will keep his gold. It will be a unanimous decision.
