trekking bar
If one puts a trekking bar on a road bike, what changes are
needed in the stem? I've seen one claim a shorted stem is needed, another recommended the same or longer stem. Seeking opinions. kw ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |

If you plan to ride on the front, you want a shorter stem. if you plan to ride on the rear, you want a longer one. Personally, if I were to use such a bar, I'd go for the longer stem. I'd have my levers at the rear, and use the fronts for stretching out into a semi-aero position for headwinds. |
