It looks like Chad prefers his own lifestyle. Whatever sort of hate these
people develop for themselves is entirely beyond me. One of my brothers had
the same problem and it ended the only way those things can - he developed
liver failure and eventually succumbed.

I would like Chad to recover but it doesn't sound likely to me.

I think all of us probably have a friend or relative that has been in
this boat. They HAVE to want to get better before they will. I hope
for the best for Chad and others in this state but some will end up in
the obits, sad.

Well said. That sums up the situation.

I would like therefore to explain everything because I know I'm doing
everything in my power to help Chad.
It all started in early September when he should have been a regular at the
start with our team Univest Grand Prix in Pennsylvania. However, just three
days before our departure I received a e-mail in which he asked me to stay
home because his first daughter was born soon after. Since my time father of
a child of two and a half, I went in his shoes and I've no intention to
force him to run, so I told him that I disagreed with his own family.

I could never imagine that I was already lying and now I no longer even
since. At that moment because Chad had already left home, had already left
his girlfriend about to give birth and have lived under a bridge.

So- his relapse had nothing to do with racing, it had to do with being
at home. Eat my shorts, Schwartz.
