Dr Peter Ward, GP:
"The biggest thing that puts people off riding a bike is its dangerous
image. Cycling is not a high-risk activity but is being dangerised by the
promotion of helmets."

Franca Tranza, spokesperson for the BMA:
"we need a big public information campaign to highlight the dangers of not
wearing a helmet"


So, that'd be a big campaign to highlight the dangers of cycling then.

That is why I came up with the idea of a National No Cycling Day.
Mostly, what I heard back was 'That will never work', so I forgot about
it.

What about the blood pressure of people who have to read made-up
nonsense words like "dangerised"?

I suppose we should just be grateful he didn't spell it with a 'z'
