Default Lodging on the Montour and Panhandle trails?

In a few weeks I will ride from Weirton, WV to Washington, DC on the
Panhandle Trail, Montour Trail, and C&O Canal trail.

On the Panhandle and Montour trails there seems to be a real lack of
lodging, both campsites and hotels. Has anyone here ridden this? Where
did you sleep?

Are there opportunities here for stealthy guerilla camping?

Thanks for your help.
