Autopsy planned after fatal lightning strike
July 29, 2010 07:39 EDT

PONTIAC, Ill. (AP) -- Officials in Livingston County say a lightning
strike appears to have killed a 57-year-old man.

Coroner Michael Burke says Ted Lambert of Manville was pronounced dead
shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say Lambert was biking on a county road while following an
acquaintance riding a modified lawn mower when the lightning strike
happened. Authorities say the acquaintance saw the lightning strike
and went for help.

The emergency workers who responded to the scene found Lambert with no
signs of life.

An autopsy is planned.
