Scum driver arrested for GBH attack

"A man was arrested after a cyclist was assaulted after a crash in Middlesbrough .

The 22-year-old biker was involved in a collision with a vehicle, believed to be a blue Nissan at around 12.30am on Friday.

It is believed the victim was assaulted on Lonsdale Street in Middlesbrough while unconscious on the ground.

He was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries including broken teeth, a broken nose and stitches to his lip. He was later released.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been released on bail pending further inquires."
