Default FS: 1988 Specialized Rockcombo $250

1988 Specialized RockCombo with all original parts. Size is 50cm c-c or 19
1/2" c-c. Top tube is 57.5 cm . This is one of the 1st production 26"
wheeled bikes ala Rivendell Atlantis or Bridgestone XO-1. Road bike geometry
combined w/ 26" wheels makes for a great touring rig, commuter, cyclocross
or general rough stuff bike. It has a 72 degree headangle w/ 73 seat angle.
This bike is used and has a few frame nicks and scrapes but there are no
dings or dents and is in overall very good condition for a 16 year old bike.
Smaill rust spots are forming on frame nicks and the decals have faded a
bit. The componets are in very good shape and nothing needs replacement,
well, could use some new tires soon. I replaced the original Suntour GP600
brake levers with a new pair of Shimano 600 brake levers. I couldnt find
replacement hoods for the Suntour levers but they will be included . Also
included is the original Specialized dirt drop 100mm stem. The seat also had
a few nicks. This bike hasnt been ridden that much.

Specs:
Triple Butted Chrome Moly frame
175mm Specialized forged cranks w/ Specialized alu chainrings 48/38/28
Specialized botton bracket
Suntour XCD front and rear derailleurs
Suntour Bar Con Accushift indexed shifters
Suntour 12/28 7 speed freewheel
Shimano 600 brake levers
Dia Compe 984 Canti brakes
Specialized Alu dirt drop bars
Kalloy 60mm dirt drop stem
Specialized headset
Specialized seatpost
specialized sealed hubs w/ Mavic 261 rims
Panaracer Gray Smoke / Dart tires
Suntour XC comp pedals
Sella Italia Turbo seat
new cables and housing

Specialized made these for one year only (1988) and there are suppossedly
only about 500 made. They didnt sell well because they were expensive
($700-800) and didn't catch on. Much like the Bridgestone XO1's which are
very collectable now. The bike came originally with Fatboy slick tires but
has room for most knobbies up to 2.2. A very fun ride! Asking $250.00 plus
any shiiping Money order, personal checks and Paypal accepted.
