Default Ciclosport CM436M w/Cadence kit

Hi...
Anybody out there know how to mount this crazy thing? I just bought a
CicloSport CM 436M and can't figure out the instructions. I bought
the cadence kit to go along with it and thought I was well on my way
to getting it mounted, but I'm stumped.

If anyone has quick instructions on how/where to attach the
sensor/transmitter I'd love to have them. Or if someone has pictures
showing exactly where these things go, I would forever be in your
debt.

Here's what I did...
I attached the computer holder to the handlebar (just to the left of
the stem), and ran the wire for the cadence sensor along the down tube
and along the left chain stay. That part was easy, but then I
realized I needed to attach the sensor (or transmitter, depending on
what part of the instructions you're reading) somewhere, but it isn't
very clear where it needs to be. It says to attach it "...to the
front side of the right shaft or the back side of the link shaft..."
a little bit later it reads: "Make sure the transmitter's battery cap
is facing up and that the transmitter and computer are both attached
to the same side of the bike."

What the heck does THAT mean? I'm not a total idiot and I knew how to
program my VCR (back when I had one!) but this is a mystery.

I have read, re-read and read the instructions again and it still
isn't clear where the transmitter/sensor goes. My head hurts.

Somebody help me.

There should be a magnet which goes on the crank arm, the transmitter should
be on the chainstay (left side for all of this)
