If you're a Mac weenie like me, you may have had troubles getting to the
Rai video (compliments to them for the web video, brickbats for the
ActiveX madness I found viewing their source...).

Anyways, I found the decisive minute (the finish line surfing party) on
YouTube:

Thansk Steve. I had flip4mac, but your direct links worked.

"Carnage generale!"

The streaks of paint being dragged from the ads by the riders are a nice
touch.

Jesus!

Does skidding across the line on your arse count?

What was on the road surface?

i also remember that world famous photo of poor old Rene Haselbacher,
wobbling into the finish line with his torn shorts, naked butt showing
after a big finish line crash at the tour... 2003 i think? Narstee...

I think you've burst through the wrong door, once again.

It counts if your bike also skids across the finish line.

What was on the road surface?

Wet paint, apparently.

It looked like, after the first couple of guys
fell, a lot of the next wave fell without being
touched or running into somebody. They must
have hit the brakes and slid, I guess.
