Default Congratulations to Andy Schleck, 2010 TdF winner!

I can't wait until next January, when we get to find out if Andy
stages a come-from-behind victory to take back-to-back tour
championships with a win in the 2011 edition.

In 2012, it's clearly a course for smart riders: the winner will need
to dominate the two long time trials, and then defend their title in
the 22nd stage, an individual trial in the mountains of Lausanne.

Congratulations also to 2011 Giro winner Scarponi... first ever
Operacion Puerto confessor to win a Grand Tour.

And for riders who don't have problems with theirfront derailleurs.
Perhaps he needs to make sure he's using DI by then.

If only Contador could have a Vuelta win taken away, he could be the
first cyclist to have won and then been disqualified from each Grand
Tour. *That's a career right there. *We'll probably never see the triple
d.q. in a single season. *Merckx might have done it, but they didn't test
him so we'll never know.

This is a great sport. *It reminds me of a sci-fi short story I read
years ago about the World Series played in the future. *Every play was
contested by lawyers who filed injunctions when the pitcher threw a nasty
slider, for instance. *So I guess it kind of came true.

Merckx lost the 1969 Giro because of an also controversial positive
drug test.

Eduardo tested positive at the 69 Giro, remember? And he put on a Royal
Command performance ranting, weeping, bawling, invoking the gods and
making threats left right and centre.

Same year at the Tour he was so full of **** he damn near died of heart
failure and the Tour doctor told him to abandon the race and go home.

Don't tell Davey that Edouardo didn't dope, or any of the ten-twenty top
finishers in any GT for that matter.

That's why I'm so incensed about them railroading Alberto. He should
have had 30 days as a token and no more.

Read the judgement - it stinks.
