Congratulations to Andy Schleck, 2010 TdF winner!
I can't wait until next January, when we get to find out if Andy
stages a come-from-behind victory to take back-to-back tour championships with a win in the 2011 edition. In 2012, it's clearly a course for smart riders: the winner will need to dominate the two long time trials, and then defend their title in the 22nd stage, an individual trial in the mountains of Lausanne. |

And for riders who don't have problems with theirfront derailleurs. Perhaps he needs to make sure he's using DI by then. |

If only Contador could have a Vuelta win taken away, he could be the first cyclist to have won and then been disqualified from each Grand Tour. *That's a career right there. *We'll probably never see the triple d.q. in a single season. *Merckx might have done it, but they didn't test him so we'll never know. This is a great sport. *It reminds me of a sci-fi short story I read years ago about the World Series played in the future. *Every play was contested by lawyers who filed injunctions when the pitcher threw a nasty slider, for instance. *So I guess it kind of came true. -- Bill Fred Merckx lost the 1969 Giro because of an also controversial positive drug test. -ilan |
