Giant XTC2 Disc vs Avanti Hammer
"Marc Bishop" wrote in message u... About to buy one of the two. The Giant is about $200 cheaper. Aside from that, can anyone suggest why I should buy one over the other? Also, is it THAT hard to put racks on a bike with disc brakes? http://www.cheekymonkey.com.au/bits.htm scroll down to link for Old Man Mountain http://www.tubus.net/swing_uk.htm for their suspension front rack. The Cargo rear rack may also be able to be modified to fit to/around a disc mount (voiding all warranties) as it is tubular steel. Verrry strong and available from St Kilda Cycles in Melbourne. The Giant frame is one of the lightest around.
