Turkey-day ride announcement
The route for the 7th-Annual Turkey-Day Trot has been unveiled!
www.chainreaction.com/turkeydayroute.htm for the details. As usual, we'll start at 7:45am from Olive Hill & Canada Road (just north of Woodside), and plan to be back by 12:30 (so people don't get in too much trouble for ditching Thanksgiving obligations). No support, no entry fees, just friendly people to share the morning with, while you're making room for the excess food you'll be having later in the day. --Mike-- Chain Reaction Bicycles www.ChainReactionBicycles.com |

I assume this is somewhere in Canada? Or Italy? Oops, my bad; shouldn't have posted to rec.bicycles.rides without pointing out Woodside (this particular Woodside) is in Northern California. Halfway between San Francisco and San Jose. But if anyone wants to reference some Turkey-Day rides in either Canada or Italy, I'll be happy to list them! --Mike-- Chain Reaction Bicycles www.ChainReactionBicycles.com |

That's brutal cold to thin Bay Area skin.... 38F in Woodside at 8am. Didn't seem nastily cold, but definitely caused some motor problems. Felt OK about halfway up King's, but prior to that I couldn't get any sort of rhythm going. --Mike Jacoubowsky Chain Reaction Bicycles www.ChainReaction.com IMBA, BikesBelong, NBDA member |

Just be glad there is no snow on the ground You mean like this? http://www.chainreaction.com/january.htm But I do agree, we are total wimps. So would you, after only a couple months out here. Soon, you're whining that it's too cold when it's below 65, and too hot when above 80. --Mike Jacoubowsky Chain Reaction Bicycles www.ChainReaction.com IMBA, BikesBelong, NBDA member |
