Crank Grabs
Can anyone offer any advice on how to crank grab? I just spent the last 2.5 hours trying to go from crank to rubber. I'm always about an inch from making it to rubber, and when I do make it up to rubber my unicycle shoots out in front of me and I have an ungainly fall backwards. Help. I do it seat in, which is the way I was taught. I bring my torso down and then explosively jump up. It works fine, except my wheel rotates whenever I get high enough to get on to the obstacle . I've seen people get this trick on their third try. What am I doing wrong? Please help. Crank Grabs
I was trying to crank grab and i kept sucking, then someone told me to jump using only the foot that was on the ledge and use my arm holding the saddle and pull up and tward the ledge. To practice that hop, i just stood on one foot and tried to jump as high as possible off the ground. Also, KH did some demonstration that is on video that someone should post a link to soon -- XWonka - Ed, Edd, & Eddy Watcher Eddy: "My brother told me that chicks are only moved by one thing - cash!" Edd: "That is so superficial, Eddy. Female admirers want meaningful things like sincerity, respect and good grooming" Ed: "And Potato Chips!" XWonka: "And Unicycles!" ------------------------------------------------------------------------ XWonka's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/3957 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/27359 |

Crank Grabs
OHMIGOD!! OHMYGOD!!! After reading these posts I went out to the local playground and tried to crankgrab a 20" concrete ledge. I got onto the crankhang fine as usual and after about 5 tries I got to rubber. I actually got to rubber. I said to myself what was that? I tried again and, again sucess. I suddenly could crank grab! Now as I look back I'd noticed what I've been doing wrong. I'd always been going at an angle so that my tire scrubbed against the ledge. Just now I went up and literally swung the uni under me onto the ledge, and it worked. Suddenly picknick tables don't seem so daunting . I've also noticed that what Xwonka said is important too. I also make sure I jump with my torso and legs, though.
