Default Lorry driver who fled scene has been caught

Well done to the police!

QUOTE:
"A lorry driver is being questioned by police after leaving the scene where a cyclist was seriously injured in a crash in west Hull.

The cyclist was rushed to Hull Royal Infirmary following the accident with a HGV just before 5pm in Anlaby Road, close to the Tower nightclub.

The road was closed for several hours at the junctions of Ferensway and Midland Street while police carried out an investigation.

The lorry had left the scene before the emergency services arrived but Humberside Police now say the driver has been found.

A spokesman said: “A cyclist was in collision with an HGV with the male cyclist suffered serious but not thought to be life-threatening injuries."
