Default Kryptonite lock replacement

I just got an a note back about my lock replacement being
a first come first served system, which seems fine to me.

Has anybody gotten a replacement lock back yet? What
does it look like? Is it the same U-bolt with a different key, or
something different?

It's taken three attempts to submit my info, over the period of a month, to
get any response back from Kryptonite. My first try was via email , as they
initially requested, and subsequent tries were through the website.

Respond via group- that's what it's there for, isn't it?

Well heck, it's probably been several weeks if not more than a month for me
to get a reply. I figure probably that much longer to get the call tag.

Part of the process is that Kryptonite is replacing locks as new
models and stock arrive. They were still in the process of introducing
the new key type when this whole mess hit the fan, so they did not
have stock on hand. They have tried to speed up production and
delivery, but they really weren't set up to replace thousands and
thousands of locks within a couple of weeks.

Another issue, related to this, is that I imagine that their planned
product rollout would have started with the higher end models and
worked down. I don't know what model you have, but I do know that the
one I had, the Evo 2000 Mini, is a very popular model and on the
higher end of their scale. Before this whole mess they were probably
already producing them, so they could get the actual locks to do the
replacement plan. Other models may be in different stages of
production and delivery.

FYI, I never received any acknowledgement from Kryptonite before I
received the email with the return label.
