think, and fundamentalist fanatics cannot.

Kunick is a prime example of a convert. In a past life, he served
time for beating the **** out of a woman, and his "protest too much"
homosexual bigotry hints at classic latency. It is these sorts of
psychologically damaged fruitcakes who need to cling to a rigid,
dogmatic belief system in order to make sense out of life in all its
complexity and mystery. They are a danger to the rest of us in
general, and when their tunnel vision narrows to the point where
"no-believers" and "infidels" can be marginalized and killed in the
name of their cause, they become the enemy.

I'm so glad that the president has redefined the "war against terror"
as " the struggle against global extremism." Inadvertently hitting
the nail on the head.
