I didn't realise there were only 5 riders in teams for this event, so surely this isn't going to be at all easy for Team GB?

Not at all easy, fortunately the Germans can't afford to let the break get too
far ahead either as they want a sprint finish too so they will have work with GB
to bring it back in due course.

In fact Tony Martin has just moved up to the front of the bunch.

Big mistake IMHO, letting Rogers go without a GB rider. if he gets to the break could be game over. Sometimes you have to change tactics according to what's happening. Hmmm...

Meanwhile BoDog and Sagan have hardly had to turn a pedal back in the main bunch.

Yup. I'm still a bit worried GB have a touch of the George Osborns - not going to change course whatever happens. We shall see! Really annoying is the lack of time checks - why would you not have time checks FFS?

As I posted that up comes time check indicating GB's austerity ;-) measures are working!

What's with all the slo-mo corner shots? Jeez. Once is enough - much better things to show in slo-mo than that!

I loved Boardman's comment that it doesn't matter if the riders don't get time
checks but *we* (the commentators) should have them.

Would have been good if they'd have shown close-up slo-mos of the crash so we
could have appreciated the finer nuances of pro-riders desperately trying to
avoid stacking it.
