Default Oh dear! Another pavement motorist crashes into a house.

Luckily no cyclists were involved this time but it does show the sheer force
of a crashing car which can seriously damage a house. No pavement cyclist
could ever cause this much damage with a bicycle. It follows that cars are
much, much more dangerous than bicycles and that is why motorists need to be
much more strictly regulated than cyclists.

"An 18 year-old-man is in hospital with serious head injuries after the
stolen car he was driving crashed into a house in Bradford.

The incident happened in Reevey Road in the Buttershaw area at about 03:00
GMT on Saturday.

The car clipped other parked vehicles before hitting the detached house,
which was badly damaged.

The house's residents have been moved out and structural engineers are at
the scene."

There should be a law against it, I will write to the Mail at once.

Depends on whether it is regarded as an unavoidable 'accident' or not.
Pavement motorists seem to be allowed to do as they like as long as it is
not deliberate. In this case presumably the insurance, if the driver has
one, will cover any resulting costs.

Doug...

Please, please, THINK before posting.

"Doing what [you] like" more or less has to be deliberate.

Doing something accidentally (ie, involuntarily) is more or less the
antithesis of doing what you like.

Come on; you can do better than your current mangling of the language.
