Default Cyclist films drivers behaving badly on York roads

A CYCLIST who filmed bad behaviour by fellow pedallers and posted the
footage on YouTube has now produced a new video exposing poor driving.

The three-minute film, created over a three-month period with a camera
on his helmet, shows York motorists parking illegally, blocking cycle
lanes, speeding, jumping red traffic lights and failing to indicate.

There are also clips of drivers passing cyclists too fast and too close,
driving whilst on their mobile phone or eating, and pulling out in front
of the cyclist.

Interesting.

How did the camera "expose" alleged breaches of speed limits? Was that
explained?

And what is this "offence" of "passing cyclists too fast"? What would
you say is the maximum allowable speed differential?

And what's wrong with "pulling out in front of a cyclist"? Almost
everyone does "pulling out in front of a vehicle" every day. There is no
requirement in law to wait until a road is empty, with no vehicles
between the junction and the horizon, before turning into it from a
minor road.

And it took three months of filming to glean three minutes of video
alleged to show breaches of the law like "speeding" (did I say I can't
wait to hear how that was measured?) and "passing too fast"?

Happens every day - these days though we have cameras to bring these lawbreaking drivers to book. Oh I forgot, Mr Loophole says it's the cycling cameras that GOAD drivers into breaking the law.

I must remember his defence when a CCTV catches me stealing jars of coffee - It's all the camera's fault - it GOADED me into stealing.

Idiot.

Did you have cameras at BP when you used to liberate all that stuff you used
to boast about?

Yes - they caught quite a few bike thieves - back in the bad old days before they invested in secure cycle storage.

"Invested" or "spent taxpayers' money with no hope of a return"?

If you claim it's the first, perhaps you can specify the rate of return?
