I had a left crank arm crack and would like to get an exact
replacement if possible. It's square taper, Sugino, 175mm long and
has on the inside:
MI2
3

Any ideas?

Why do you want an exact match? It's not like it matches the other
side, anyway. In the past, I've bought Sugino cranksets boxed
together that did not appear to match.

Look for something that has the same length, lateral offset, and
surface finish as your right crank.

You might get lucky at a bicycle shop in their used parts bin(s) or,
if there's one in your area, at a bicycle co-op.

I have a few old Sugino cranksets but they are from the 1980's. I like
them because with a moder bottom bracket the Q-factor is much narrower
than the newer cranksets.

Good luck and cheers

The LBS has a cheap one from Taiwan that just looks bulky and not as
nice. But the price is right.

Price means F'all go with your instinct, the subconcious holds many

p.s. paying less than good value can be haunting, unless of course it
is at an agreed auction (not a bailiff's fund management).
