Cyclist injured in Brighton hit and run - driver found

A BMW driver failed to stop after being involved in a crash with a cyclist.. The 34-year-old biker was injured in the collision in Downland Road, Brighton, on Saturday night. He was taken to hospital for treatment, but the BMW driver continued their journey and is now the subject of a police investigation. Officers have since made an arrest in connection with the incident. A 23-year-old man was detained on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a collision and dangerous driving. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue. Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them.
