I've seen the ultra lights, esp the 7.9 lb Ghisallo.

If I had a high-end 56cm carbon fibre frame with track drop outs, how
light of a fixed could I build if I decked it out with as much cf (or
whatever is lighter) as physically possible and still be a rideable
functional fixed (sans pedals and brakes)?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond.

weightweenies has weights for most components. You can figure it out
yourself. When you're done, report back here and let us know.

Easy:
Take the 8-lb bike spec, take off the brakes, cables, cogs and derailleur in
the rear, think up a wheel with the same rim but with a fixie hub (probably
going to be ~100g more) add the weight of a cog and lockring, take 4 links
out of the chain, and you're done.
