Aluminum Tipped Fork Drop Outs
Doing my weekly maintenance I noticed what appeared to be a crack on
the aluminum dropouts at the end of the carbon fork. Then I saw the same cracks on both sides, that seemed a bit odd. I took the wheel out and then saw that the cracks were actually some kind of coating that was flaking off. What is that coating? |

If you don't coat carbon with hard paint the stuff disintegrates. -- zk |
